Africa-Europe CoRE conference 2024
From the 29th of September to the 2nd of October 2024, +250 academics and researchers from over 49 institutions across more than 27 countries in Africa, Europe and beyond gathered in South Africa at the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study (STIAS) for the inaugural Africa-Europe Clusters of Research Excellence Conference led by the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) and The Guild.

The Guild & ARUA policy work
Since 2019, The Guild and ARUA have formed a close partnership advocating for equitable sustainble partnerships between African and European universities with the European Union and the African Union. The Africa-Europe Clusters of Research Excellence initiative illustrates the vision of the AU-EU Innovation Agenda for long-term equitable sustainable scientific partnerships between Africa and Europe.
