Following the announcement of the long-term EU budget (Multiannual Financial Framework 2028-2034) and the details of the next EU programmes, The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities and the League of European Research Universities (LERU) invite you to reflect with Commissioner Zaharieva, Executive Vice-President Mînzatu and MEP Christian Ehler, other policymakers and stakeholders on what the proposals mean for the sector and how they impact the future of higher education, research and innovation.
What can we expect from the next Horizon Europe programme? What are the key open questions that remain, and what will the connection to the European Competitiveness Fund be? How will Erasmus+ support mobility, strategic and international partnerships, the Union of Skills, and European Universities alliances? And what are the initial responses from the community of stakeholders and policymakers?
This event will provide a first opportunity after the summer break to discuss how the Commission’s proposals affect researchers, students and innovators, and what key debates and milestones lie ahead in the political process.
This is an in-person event only. Registration is mandatory.
